Dr. Patricia introduced hydrological modeling and Mr. Asif showed more details about WEB-DHM (the Water Energy Budget
Based Distributed Hydrological Model).
In the
next lecture, Dr. Rasmy taught us
the theory of remote sensing and
showed how to use the technology of
remote sensing for hydrological research.
In the
afternoon, Assoc. Prof. Kawasaki
explained basics of GIS (Geographic Information System) and how to
use it. Participants were trying to follow his advice. At first, some of the
participants had troubles to handle it but at the end of the class, most of
them got used to using GIS. Some participants didn’t have lunch and continued
studying.
