This is what we call "infrastructure"
Presented by the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Tokyo and the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University
On May 16th (Sat) and 17th (Sun), 2026, at the 99th May Festival, students from the Department of Civil Engineering will be holding an exhibition titled "The World Calls It Infrastructure" and a food and drink event titled "Civil Engineering Friday"!
In "The World Calls It Infrastructure," we offer a variety of content that allows you to experience civil engineering and the Department of Civil Engineering through seeing, hearing, and playing, including laboratory tours, a bidding simulation game, a paper bridge contest, professor interviews, and a glimpse into the daily life of the Civil Engineering Department!
We have an event planned that everyone can enjoy, from visitors who came to enjoy the extraordinary event of the May Festival, to junior and senior high school students and first and second-year undergraduate students who are looking for information to help them make decisions as they consider important life decisions such as entrance exams and university choices, to anyone who wants to see what daily life is like at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Tokyo, and many others. Please come and visit us!
Whether you want to participate in the planning, view the exhibits, or chat with students from the Department of Civil Engineering, we look forward to your visit!
